In Bukovyna, Three Mobile Medical Units of the Ukrainian Red Cross Provide Primary Healthcare in Remote Settlements of the Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross mobile medical units typically provide assistance to people residing in remote, mountainous areas with limited access to medical services.

Each mobile medical unit is staffed with a family doctor, nurses, and a driver. They assess individuals’ health, provide consultations, and conduct measurements such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood oxygen levels. Additionally, they prescribe treatment regimens and dispense over-the-counter medications to alleviate symptoms. If necessary, they also facilitate transportation to a medical facility.

The activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile medical units in the Chernivtsi region are implemented with the support of the Austrian Red Cross.
