In the Kherson Region, the Ukrainian Red Cross Instructors Inform about Mine Risk
Today, the Kherson region is the most mine-contaminated area. Instructors of the Mine Risk Awareness Programme implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross conduct information sessions on the risks of mines and explosive ordnance for residents of the region’s communities. Volunteers raise public awareness of the risks posed by explosive ordnance. Printed materials displayed in public places remind adults, adolescents, and children of the risks of mines and urge them to be more careful.
The Ukrainian Red Cross instructors aim to save lives and health and develop safer skills among the population. We continue to raise awareness because knowledge of mine risk can prevent accidents.
