A Renovated House for Almost Fifty Internally Displaced Persons Was Opened in Kozivka Village of the Velyki Hayi Community of the Ternopil Region

The two-storey building underwent renovations, encompassing both interior and exterior enhancements. Sixteen accommodation units were outfitted, each with a bathroom, furniture, and bed linen. Additionally, a shared kitchen featuring electrical appliances and household equipment serves residents from adjacent rooms. Moreover, the house was designed to ensure comfortable living for individuals with disabilities.

Internally displaced persons who wish to live here can apply for residence at the local Administrative Service Centre. According to the head of the Velyki Hayi Community, 350 IDPs are currently living in the community.

The project was implemented by the Ternopil regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, with financial support from the Swiss Red Cross, in cooperation with the Velyki Hayi village council. The organisation repaired and insulated the facade, built a boiler room, replaced windows and doors, and equipped bathrooms and kitchens. Additionally, they made new furniture, purchased household appliances and kitchen sets, and carried out landscaping and other tasks.

We stand by those in need.
