A Session with BOCA Was Held at the Zhmerynka Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Vinnytsia Region
The team of volunteers from the Zhmerynka branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross had a productive start to the week, as the organisation hosted a two-day BOCA (Branch Organisational Capacity Assessment) session.
Motivated and committed to new achievements, the volunteers and staff engaged in self-assessment for two consecutive days. They identified the organisation’s strengths and weaknesses in 35 different thematic areas; reflected and discussed what needed to be changed, where to move on, and what everyone could do to improve the organisation.
Using the Matrix framework, the participants identified key performance indicators and collaborated to develop strategies for improvement.
The primary objective of the session was to determine the further vector of the organisation’s development, which would enhance its potential. As a result, with the facilitators’ assistance, the team worked on an annual plan, jointly identifying priority areas of activity and clear steps to foster sustainability and resilience, enabling the organisation to develop and improve despite any challenges.
