During the Week, Six Mobile Health Units of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Sumy Region Provided More Than 650 Medical Consultations in 37 Settlements
They work in Krolevets, Trostianets, Hlukhiv, Nedryhailivka, Putyvl and Krasnopillia communities.
The Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units visit remote communities with limited access to healthcare.
During the visits, the teams’ specialists:
- Provide consultations and conduct health examinations.
- Measure blood pressure.
- Determine the levels of blood glucose and oxygenation.
- Offer primary medical care to patients on-site or refer them for specialised consultation with a specialist.
- Provide free over-the-counter medicines with general therapeutic effects to stabilise a person’s health.
- Transport individuals in life-threatening conditions to a medical facility.
