Teaching First Aid to Kherson Residents

Teaching First Aid to Kherson Residents

“Do what you can, where you are” is the motto of the Ukrainian Red Cross instructors who continue to teach resilient Kherson residents first aid skills that can save lives in emergencies.

A team of instructors from the Kherson regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross regularly conducts first aid training. Participants learn how to control threatening bleeding, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and administer first aid to victims with wounds, injuries, burns, convulsions, fainting, sudden respiratory arrest, and other life-threatening situations. The training sessions include much practical work, allowing participants to practice their skills for better learning. Upon completing the training, everyone receives an internationally recognised certificate, indicating their ability to provide first aid to affected individuals.
