In Ivano-Frankivsk, Internally Displaced Persons Aged 50+ Successfully Completed Basic Computer Literacy Courses

The Ivano-Frankivsk city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross offered two months of computer literacy training for internally displaced persons over the age of 50. The program included:

  1. Internet research skills;
  1. Typing and messaging proficiency;
  1. Creating and managing emails, including sending letters;
  1. Proficiency in using messaging apps such as Telegram and Viber;
  1. Registration and utilisation of the social network Facebook;
  1. Navigation skills using Google Maps;
  1. Utilising Google Forms, including correctly filling out and submitting forms.

The classes were conducted in a friendly and cosy atmosphere, as it was important for us to ensure that each student felt comfortable and confident. We believe that this knowledge will help internally displaced persons better adapt to their new life and feel more confident in the modern world.

A new group of students will be enrolled in the courses very soon. Further details can be found here.

This training is made possible thanks to the support and collaboration with the BraVo programme and the Swiss Red Cross.
