Seven Mobile Health Units of the Ukrainian Red Cross Provide Free Primary Healthcare in Remote Settlements of the Lviv Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units provide medical care to people in the communities of Hlyniany, Mostyska, Zhuravno, Skhidnytsia, Lopatyn, Raliv, and Dobromyl. 

Each unit comprises a family doctor, a nurse, and a driver who conduct visits to communities with limited access to medical services. During these visits, the specialists of the mobile unit: consult and examine individuals’ health statuses, measure blood pressure, sugar, and blood oxygenation levels, and prescribe treatment schemes to alleviate their health conditions. If necessary, doctors also issue referrals to specialised medical specialists. 

Since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units in the Lviv region have provided primary medical care to more than 10,920 people in 237 settlements of the region.
