The Ukrainian Red Cross Holds Mine Risk Information Sessions for Pupils and Students in the Kyiv Region

Over the past month, volunteer instructors from the Kyiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross have conducted mine risk information sessions for pupils and students in 16 settlements across the Bucha, Makariv, Vyshhorod, Obukhiv, and Bila Tserkva communities.

These training sessions, part of the project ″Safer Behaviour and Raising Awareness of the Risks of Mines and Explosive Remnants of War″, are held regularly to protect civilians from existing threats. They provide algorithms for safer behaviour in the event of mine or unexploded ordnance detection, as well as guidance on correct actions during shelling.

It is crucial to remember the basic rules of safe behaviour:

  • Do not approach.
  • Do not touch.
  • Call 101 and 102.
  • Inform others of the danger.
