In Zviahel, Zhytomyr Region, 30 Lonely Individuals Receive Support from Social Assistants
The Home-Based Care programme is an important component of social support for lonely citizens who, due to their health condition, require external assistance to care for themselves and address household issues.
Social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross in many regions of Ukraine provide social and household services, including regular visits to clients, food delivery, cooking, cleaning, assistance with personal hygiene for those with limited mobility, addressing social issues, providing psychosocial support, etc.
For example, in the Zhytomyr region, social assistants of the Zviahel branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for thirty lonely people.
