In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Social Assistants Delivered Food Parcels to Lonely Elderly People Under the Home-Based Care Programme

On the occasion of the holiday, social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Ivano-Frankivsk region delivered food parcels to their clients – lonely elderly people who need external assistance in their daily lives and self-care. Due to their health condition, most of these clients are unable to go to the nearest store to buy food for preparing a festive table.

To address their most basic needs, Ukrainian Red Cross social assistants provide support to this category of people by assisting them with household chores, shopping, and delivering food, medicines, and other essentials. Moreover, these social assistants serve as companions for lonely individuals, offering emotional support.

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, 60 social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross provide care for over 470 lonely elderly individuals in 52 settlements across the region.

We stand by those in need.
