Refresher Course for Experienced YABC Peer Educators in Kyiv

The Ukrainian Red Cross is actively developing the YABC (Youth as Agents of Behavioural Change) programme. This programme aims to cultivate a culture of non-violence and peace in society by fostering skills such as social inclusion, empathy, active listening, critical thinking, personal resilience, non-discrimination, inner harmony, etc. YABC sessions are designed to provide participants with the opportunity to experience a particular situation first and then analyse it, transitioning ‘from the heart to the mind’.

This initiative is developed by volunteers and staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross, who serve as peer educators at YABC.

During the refresher course, participants updated their knowledge and skills, which they will apply in the future to promote a culture of peace and non-violence in their communities.

We continue to learn and grow.
