Two-Day Training Session on International Humanitarian Law Held in Kyiv
A two-day training session on international humanitarian law was recently held in Kyiv for the Ukrainian Red Cross staff. The session aimed to enhance their knowledge of international humanitarian law.
The event encompassed both theoretical and practical components, facilitating the exchange of experiences and information among participants. Throughout the training, the following key elements were covered:
- Presentation of the activities conducted by the International Humanitarian Law Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
- Discussion of a wide array of issues pertaining to the protection of human rights in armed conflicts.
- Identification of mechanisms for addressing violations involving the use of distinctive emblems and signs of the Red Cross.
- Strengthening knowledge of the practical application of international humanitarian law within the operations of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
