In Kherson, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers delivered more than 4,200 food parcels last week

Despite constant shelling, the Ukrainian Red Cross team continues to work in Kherson.

Svitlana Shcherbyna, World Food Programme coordinator at the Kherson regional organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross, said: “Thanks to the coordinated teamwork, we managed to deliver more than 4,200 food parcels from the World Food Programme to Kherson last week. These are single people aged 60+ and people with disabilities. Every time we drive up to their homes, they meet us and thank us for our support in such a difficult time. People’s gratitude inspires and motivates us to do more good deeds.”
