Assistance and further recovery of Ukraine: topics that the Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross discussed in London

The British Red Cross hosted a panel discussion and exhibition, ‘From the front line to the future: from relief to recovery in Ukraine’ at the British Medical Association on 13 February.
Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, participated in the event. Among the panelists were Beatrice Butsana-Sita, Director General of the British Red Cross, Dr. Hugo Slim, Senior Fellow at Blackfriars Hall and ELAC, University of Oxford, and Thomas Evans, former Vice President of Newsgathering and International Reporting at CNN. Charlotte Hume, a TV journalist and crisis communications expert, moderated the event.

The discussion focused on the importance of the continuous provision of humanitarian assistance and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The exhibition featured photographs depicting the work of volunteers and staff of Ukraine’s largest humanitarian organization, the Ukrainian Red Cross, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
