The Ukrainian Red Cross is helping to address the aftermath of the storm in the Odesa region
The snowstorm caused a lot of trouble due to snowdrifts on the roads and damaged the equipment at the Odesa Heat and Power Plant. The destruction of a pipe caused the plant to shut down and stop heating a part of the city.
Volunteers, together with rescuers took part in clearing the debris within the heating plant’s pipe. As a result, the plant resumed its operation, and heating in residential apartments was restored.
