In Lviv, volunteers of Ukrainian Red Cross told about the activities of the organization Angelina Jolie, UN Goodwill Ambassador

Yesterday, Angelina Jolie arrived in Ukraine with a humanitarian mission and visited Lviv railway station, where she met passengers of an evacuation train from Pokrovsk (Donetska oblast). A tent of Ukrainian Red Cross has been set up at the station, where volunteers have been on duty since the beginning of the war and provide assistance to evacuees. Volunteers met the UN Goodwill Ambassador and spoke about their volunteer work to help the affected population of Ukraine.

During the visit, Jolie herself stated that she was impressed by the courage of Ukrainians: I witnessed the resilience, courage and dignity of Ukrainian people in the face of terror and trauma of the war they did not choose. The impact of the war on generations of Ukrainian children is devastating. No child should leave their homes, witness the killing of their loved ones, suffer from shelling and destruction of homes.
