More than 15,000 people used river crossing in Demydiv, built by volunteers of Ukrainian Red Cross in Vyshhorod and locals

In February 2022, the bridge to Demydiv was blown up. People could neither evacuate from settlements nor receive humanitarian aid. Volunteers of the Emergency response team of Vyshhorod district organization of Ukrainian Red Cross with locals built a crossing over the river, which paved the way to Demydiv.

People thank the volunteers in social media: “I want to thank you for the bridge, which passed more than 15 thousand people for evacuation, for the bridge that became a way of life, for the bridge that gave hope! Thank you to all the volunteers! ”

Volunteers evacuated thousands of people and hundreds of tons of humanitarian goods were transferred under fire using this river bridge.

We are proud.
