In Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Red Cross team is working alongside other emergency services at the sites affected by another attack

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team joined search-and-rescue operations and helped rescue eight people in Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi district.
The team provided first aid and psychological first aid before handing the affected people over to emergency medical teams for further care.

A Ukrainian Red Cross assistance point is open at the site, where people can receive water, hot drinks and snacks, and access psychological support if needed. Those affected are also receiving humanitarian assistance based on identified needs. This includes OSB boards and tarpaulins to provide temporary protection for damaged homes; hygiene kits for adults and children; transit food parcels; non-food emergency response kits; drinking water; and sleeping kits.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, four people were killed and another 41 were injured in the Russian missile strike on Kharkiv. A section of a four-storey residential building was destroyed in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.
