Video: Providing Support for Pets

When people are forced to leave their homes because of war, they take their pets with them — beloved members of their families.

That is why the Ukrainian Red Cross, in partnership with Humane World for Animals, is implementing a programme to support internally displaced people who have pets.

As part of the programme, families receive cat and dog food, flea and tick treatments, pet carriers, litter trays and litter, as well as leads and collars.

On World Animal Day, we are highlighting support for people who have been forced to leave their homes because of the war, together with their pets.
