Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers responded to a road accident on the Kyiv–Odesa highway
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Odesa region, together with other emergency services, responded to a road accident on the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa highway. They provided first aid to four people and evacuated one person to the hospital for further medical care.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the accident involved a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus travelling from Odesa to Pervomaisk. There were 10 passengers on board at the time of the accident. One person was killed, and seven were injured. Using specialised equipment, emergency responders freed five injured people from the minibus and handed them over to medical personnel.
