The Ukrainian Red Cross trained Odesa volunteers to work with people with disabilities and veterans

Throughout September, the Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation Unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Odesa region held eight training and information sessions for volunteers from the Prymorskyi community of Odesa.

Participants learned how to communicate appropriately with people with disabilities and veterans, safely position and move people with limited mobility, and identify and prevent fall risks among older people.

The training combined theory and practice: participants learned practical procedures, practised their skills and shared their own experiences.

Together, we are building a culture of support based on humanity, unity and impartiality.
