The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of an overnight attack in Odesa
Overnight, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked alongside first responders and other emergency services at the site of another attack in Odesa.
Volunteers surveyed a damaged residential building to identify affected residents and provide necessary assistance. Together with emergency responders, they helped force open the door of a damaged flat. Volunteers provided psychological support to affected people and their family members, and first aid to the injured.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a Russian attack struck a 19-storey residential building, damaging flats on the 14th to 16th floors. A fire broke out and was quickly extinguished by firefighters. Seven people were injured, including two children. A private residential house was also destroyed. At other locations, warehouse buildings, a kindergarten, vehicles, and garages were damaged.
