Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units in the Odesa region continue to help people restore their functional abilities

Since the beginning of the year, rehabilitation support has been provided to residents of 15 communities across the Odesa region.

During this period, specialists from the mobile rehabilitation units made 397 visits to provide rehabilitation services. They also provided 228 assistive rehabilitation devices to 74 residents, while 71 caregivers received information and support services.

Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units support people in communities where access to rehabilitation services is limited or unavailable. The teams most often work with people recovering from strokes, living with limb amputations, multiple fractures, and other complex conditions that require long-term rehabilitation and recovery.

The Physical Rehabilitation and Social Adaptation programme in the Odesa region is implemented with the support of the German Red Cross.
