Zaporizhzhia: The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked at the site of an overnight attack on the city

In coordination with other emergency services, volunteers surveyed the area, provided first aid and psychological first aid to people affected, and remained on standby to respond quickly and provide assistance as needed.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were injured in the overnight Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. A large fire broke out at one of the city’s shopping centres following the strike, and firefighters extinguished the blaze across an area of 6,000 square metres. Due to the threat of further attacks, operations at the site were periodically suspended to allow firefighters and other emergency responders to take shelter.
