On World First Aid Day, the Ukrainian Red Cross presents a platform for learning life-saving first aid skills

In today’s world, we do not always know where tomorrow will take us. And every suitcase has its own weight. But there is one kind of baggage that takes up no space and weighs nothing, yet is incredibly valuable: first aid knowledge.

Ahead of World First Aid Day, the Ukrainian Red Cross is presenting an educational platform that makes first aid training even more accessible and flexible.

On the platform, you can:

• choose online training, from short seminars to full training courses;
• register for in-person training;
• access training services for organisations and businesses;
• take refresher training and update your knowledge from home;
• learn at your own pace and from anywhere.

A training gift certificate is also available — an opportunity to give first aid training to family members, loved ones, parents, siblings, friends, or colleagues.

This approach to learning is particularly important for people living in remote communities, where access to medical care may be limited due to the security situation. The first few minutes after an emergency can be critical, and first aid knowledge helps people respond appropriately and provide assistance before medical professionals arrive.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, nearly 500,000 people have completed first aid training with the Ukrainian Red Cross. Today, the organisation has more than 500 instructors, and its certified programmes are recognised in 191 countries worldwide.

First aid knowledge is important for everyone, regardless of profession. It helps people recognise threats, respond appropriately, and assist others during the first and most critical minutes.

First aid knows no borders. Knowledge weighs nothing. But when it matters most, it can become the most valuable thing we have.
