Mykolaiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked at sites affected by attacks over the past day
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Mykolaiv region worked alongside other emergency services at sites affected by further attacks on civilian infrastructure in Mykolaiv.
Volunteers worked at the strike sites, surveyed affected areas to identify people in need of assistance, provided first aid to injured people, handed them over to ambulance crews, and transported them to healthcare facilities. They also provided psychological first aid to people experiencing acute stress reactions.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region, Russian forces continued their large-scale attacks on Mykolaiv throughout the previous day and overnight. Port and industrial infrastructure, as well as civilian sites across the city, came under attack. Residential buildings, a hotel, warehouses, an administrative building, a garage, a car, and other facilities were damaged. As a result of the attacks, four people were killed, and 19 were injured, including four children.
