Providing Psychosocial Support Across Zakarpattia

Providing Psychosocial Support Across Zakarpattia

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to provide psychosocial support across the Zakarpattia region, including through the Khust district branch.

The programme is currently being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross regional branch, two city branches, and nine district branches. Around 120–150 activities are held across the region each month. During the first half of 2026, staff and volunteers conducted 905 activities, reaching 5,437 participants of different ages.

One of the key priorities is supporting children’s mental health and psychosocial well-being. Recently, the Khust district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross began working together with the Bdzhilka Kindergarten.

As part of this cooperation, volunteers and specialists visit the kindergarten every Monday to deliver structured sessions for children, including active games and creative activities. The sessions are designed to meet children’s psychosocial needs, reduce stress, and create a safe and supportive environment.

We continue working to ensure that people can always access the support they need.
