The first first-aid training session for veterans, delivered by veteran instructors, took place in Pryluky
This is about more than learning life-saving skills. It gives veterans an opportunity to share their experience, support others and continue contributing to the life of their communities.
The Ukrainian Red Cross adapted its first-aid training programme to enable veterans to develop the skills needed to teach and demonstrate first-aid techniques. They can now train not only other veterans, but also civilians, passing on knowledge that can save lives.
This approach supports the social integration of veterans, creates new opportunities for their professional development and helps build a society in which veterans’ experience becomes a valuable resource for the community.
