The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support people affected by attacks in the Kyiv region

For almost a week, the Ukrainian Red Cross has been working in the Kyiv region, responding to the aftermath of Russian attacks and supporting people whose homes have been damaged.

In Boryspil, on 1 September, the Boryspil city-district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross distributed emergency kits, tarpaulins and 50 OSB boards to people whose homes had been damaged, helping them secure and protect their properties.

In the Dmytrivka community, the Bucha branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross continues to assist local residents whose homes were damaged in recent attacks.

At a temporary accommodation centre in Irpin, 20 people received hygiene kits and emergency kits. A further 44 households received 2,520 m² of tarpaulin to temporarily cover and protect their damaged homes. Assistance was subsequently provided to another 103 households, which received 12,840 m² of tarpaulin and 90 OSB boards. A further 28 households received 390 metres of plastic sheeting to cover damaged windows, as well as 2,400 m² of tarpaulin to temporarily cover damaged roofs.

On 2 September, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers worked in Vyshneve, distributing essential materials to help residents secure and protect damaged parts of their homes.

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to respond to needs across the region, supporting people affected, providing essential supplies and helping communities cope with the aftermath of Russian attacks.
