Kyiv Region: Ukrainian Red Cross teams continue to respond to the aftermath of attacks
Today, volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams in the Kyiv region and the National Committee worked alongside other emergency services at the site of a strike in the Bucha district.
Volunteers surveyed the area, provided drinking water to State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) personnel, and handed over one injured person to an emergency medical team. Other people remained in shelters.
According to the SESU, Russian forces attacked a distribution centre belonging to a retail chain in the Bucha district. The drone attack caused a fire in the building, which was extinguished by firefighters.
The day before, volunteers also responded to a drone strike on non-residential premises in the Vyshhorod district. The team surveyed the area to identify any dangerous objects and provided psychological first aid to people at the scene. Everyone was in shelters during the attack, and no one was injured.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support people and assist other emergency services in responding to the aftermath of attacks.
