Kyiv: Ukrainian Red Cross responds at site of overnight attack

Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams in the Kyiv region and the National Committee worked alongside other services at the site of the overnight attack in Kyiv’s Obolonskyi district.

Volunteers conducted a door-to-door check of the residential building and surrounding area to identify anyone affected. They provided first aid to four people, two of whom were handed over to emergency medical teams for further medical treatment.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a fire broke out from the second to the fifth floor of a 12-storey residential building in Obolonskyi district after it was hit by a Russian UAV. The fire was extinguished over an area of 80 sq m. Three people affected were handed over to medical teams.

The aftermath of the attack was also recorded in Kyiv’s Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi and Desnianskyi districts.
