Events marking World Humanitarian Day held in Dnipro

Events marking World Humanitarian Day were held in Dnipro. The day highlights the vital work of humanitarian workers and the need to protect those who assist people in the most challenging conditions.

The Head of the Ukrainian Red Cross Eastern Interregional Office took part in the documentary exhibition and installation “The Humanitarian System Under Attack”, which showcases the consequences of the attack on the Proliska Humanitarian Mission and draws attention to the risks humanitarian workers face every day.

The documentary film “Kostiantynivka: Partially Encircled and on the Brink” was also screened in Dnipro. The film documents the daily work of evacuation teams in frontline areas as they continue to help people leave dangerous areas despite the constant threats.

The Ukrainian Red Cross condemns attacks on humanitarian missions and emphasises that humanitarian workers, volunteers and vehicles used to deliver assistance must be protected in accordance with international humanitarian law.
