The Ukrainian Red Cross supported people affected by the attack in Zhytomyr
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zhytomyr region worked at the site of the attack alongside other emergency services.
Yesterday, volunteers provided first aid and psychological first aid to people affected by the attack and supported rescue operations, including transporting two injured people to a medical facility.
A Ukrainian Red Cross assistance point was also operating at the site of the emergency response operations, where local residents and emergency service personnel could access hot drinks, charge their phones and receive the support they needed.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were killed and more than 40 injured yesterday as a result of the Russian attack on Zhytomyr. The attack also caused a fire in the building of the Main Department of the National Police in the Zhytomyr region.
