As a result of the large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv and Kyiv region during the night of 20 August, a Ukrainian Red Cross humanitarian warehouse sustained minor damage to its exterior
The equipment and humanitarian supplies stored at the warehouse were not affected. The organisation continues to operate as usual.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 20 Ukrainian Red Cross facilities in different regions of Ukraine have been affected by Russian attacks. More than 20 of the organisation’s vehicles have also been damaged. These vehicles are used by Ukrainian Red Cross teams to respond quickly to people’s needs, carry out evacuations and deliver humanitarian assistance.
Despite systematic attacks on humanitarian infrastructure, the Ukrainian Red Cross continues to provide assistance to people across Ukraine. Its teams respond to the aftermath of attacks, support affected people, carry out evacuations, provide first aid and psychosocial support, and deliver essential humanitarian supplies to communities.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support people in need and keep its humanitarian operations running throughout the full-scale war.
