Maksym Dotsenko, President of the Ukrainian Red Cross, and Illya Kletskovskyy, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, paid a working visit to the Sumy region

During the visit, they met with the team of the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross to discuss the humanitarian situation in the region, the main operational challenges, and priorities for the coming months.

Particular attention was given to preparations for the autumn and winter period, including readiness for possible disruptions to electricity, heating, and water supply, as well as strengthening the operational capacity of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team.

As part of the visit, they also met with representatives of the local authorities, including Sumy City Council Secretary Artem Kobzar, to discuss joint efforts to prepare the region for winter and respond to humanitarian challenges.
