The Ukrainian Red Cross expands access to vocational training and employment opportunities in the Dnipro region

Just two months after the Ukrainian Red Cross Reboot programme opened its service centre in Dnipro, the team has already organised a series of activities for veterans and their family members, provided career guidance to residents of the region on vocational training and employment opportunities, and prepared several new training courses for launch.

In August, programme participants will begin training in 3D printing, 3D visualisation, and information processing and software applications. In September, new courses in entrepreneurship, logistics, the beauty sector, and social care services are scheduled to begin.

To ensure that more people are aware of these opportunities, the Reboot programme is strengthening cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Dnipro, the Eastern Interregional Office, local authorities, and partners from the business and civil society sectors. This cooperation will help residents of the region more easily access information about vocational training, retraining opportunities, career guidance, and employment support.

These priorities were agreed during a working visit by the team of the Department for Emergency Preparedness, Recovery and Development of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross to the Dnipro regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross at the end of July. Representatives of the Norwegian Red Cross also took part in the concluding meeting.

Through this joint effort, more residents of the Dnipro region, including those living in frontline communities, will gain access to vocational training, retraining opportunities, and employment support. This will help people restore their livelihoods while strengthening the resilience of local communities.
