Maksym Dotsenko, President of the Ukrainian Red Cross, and Illya Kletskovskyy, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, paid a working visit to the Zaporizhzhia region

As part of the visit, the Ukrainian Red Cross leadership met with Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration. The meeting focused on the region’s current humanitarian needs and further coordination of joint efforts.

Particular attention was given to preparations for the autumn and winter period, emergency preparedness, support for healthcare facilities and communities, equipping shelters, and strengthening the safety of people who face daily shelling.

The Ukrainian Red Cross is already implementing a number of humanitarian programmes in the Zaporizhzhia region and continues to adapt its assistance to local needs. Where necessary, international partners will also be engaged to strengthen support where it is most needed.

Particular attention was also given to support for children. Discussions focused on organising recreational and psychosocial recovery programmes, as well as the possibility of establishing a modern rehabilitation space for children, veterans, and their families.
