The Ukrainian Red Cross and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine strengthen cooperation on safety initiatives in Zakarpattia

Representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross held a working meeting with representatives of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Zakarpattia region. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of joint projects focused on community awareness-raising and training.

In particular, they discussed expanding the network of safety classrooms, where children learn about mine risks, how to respond in emergencies, the basics of first aid, and develop psychosocial support skills.

Special attention was also given to first aid training for emergency responders, joint exercises, information and awareness-raising campaigns, and the exchange of practical experience.

Strengthening cooperation between the services helps improve emergency preparedness, enables faster response, and ensures that people receive the assistance they need more effectively and promptly.
