For families searching for their loved ones, it is extremely important to receive reliable information, understand search mechanisms and have the opportunity to ask questions directly to specialists. With this aim, a meeting between the Regional Working Group of the Coordination Headquarters and families of missing persons and prisoners of war was held in Khust, Zakarpattia region.

A specialist from the Ukrainian Red Cross Tracing and Restoring Family Links (RFL) Service spoke about search mechanisms, the organisation’s work and answered families’ most frequently asked questions.

During individual consultations, the specialist reviewed open tracing cases, provided case reference numbers, accepted additional documents and clarified the information needed for further support to families.

Following the meeting, participants received answers to their questions, essential guidance on next steps and counselling support.

Such meetings help families better navigate the tracing process, access verified information and feel supported by specialists at every stage.
