Kharkiv: Ukrainian Red Cross assisted people affected by another attack

Yesterday, following an attack on Kharkiv’s Novobavarskyi district, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region worked at the scene alongside other emergency services.

Volunteers checked damaged residential buildings and the surrounding area, identified people in need of assistance, and provided first aid and psychological first aid.

Today, the Ukrainian Red Cross ran an assistance point where people affected by the attack received humanitarian aid, including OSB boards, tarpaulins, children’s and adult hygiene kits, children’s bedding sets, drinking water, and other essential relief items. People could also receive water, tea or coffee, and a light snack.

According to the Kharkiv City Council, on the evening of 28 July, a Russian drone struck a five-storey residential building in the Novobavarskyi district. The roof of the building caught fire as a result of the strike, and residents were evacuated.
