Yesterday, the Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of strikes in Zaporizhzhia

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region worked throughout the day alongside other emergency services to assist with the response to the aftermath of the strikes.

During the day, volunteers carried out door-to-door visits in the affected area to identify people in need of assistance. They also provided first aid to two people who had been injured and psychological first aid to those affected.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), nine people, including two children, were injured as a result of Russian air strikes. Private homes at several locations were partially destroyed, while neighbouring buildings and vehicles were damaged.

Later that night, volunteers responding to the scene of another strike provided first aid to one injured person and psychological first aid to two more people experiencing acute stress reactions.

According to SESU, a man was injured following Russian drone attacks on Zaporizhzhia. A two-storey commercial building, along with shops and retail pavilions covering a total area of 900 square metres, caught fire. Nearby buildings were also damaged by the blast wave and debris.
