International humanitarian law prohibits the use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare and protects objects indispensable to their survival

A training session on compliance and personal data protection was held in Kyiv for staff of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

During the training, participants strengthened their understanding of the key principles of integrity, explored the practical application of the Code of Conduct, learned about mechanisms for managing conflicts of interest, approaches to integrity due diligence for counterparties, and measures to prevent fraud and corruption.

Particular attention was given to personal data protection and the Ukrainian Red Cross Integrity Line — a secure reporting mechanism for raising concerns about potential misconduct.

Promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability is an integral part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s work. That is why the organisation continually invests in developing its staff’s competencies, upholding high ethical standards, reinforcing trust in its work, and enhancing the effective delivery of its humanitarian mission.
