Ukrainian Red Cross team responds to the scene of an attack in Sumy
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Sumy region responded to the scene of this morning’s Russian attack.
Working alongside emergency services, volunteers helped respond to the aftermath of the strike. They conducted door-to-door assessments in the affected area, provided first aid and psychological first aid to those affected, and supported emergency responders throughout the rescue operation.
According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Russian forces launched a strike on Sumy this morning, reportedly using guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, one man was killed in his home. Three other people were injured and admitted to hospital.
