Rivne region receives its tenth evacuation train from Donetsk region this year

This week, the Rivne region received its tenth evacuation train of 2026, carrying residents from frontline communities in the Donetsk region. Another 30 people, forced to flee their homes because of the war, arrived in the region. They will now be accommodated in communities across the Varash district.

At the railway station, the evacuees were welcomed by volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Rivne region, alongside representatives of the regional authorities, emergency services, healthcare professionals and social workers. The volunteers assisted people with their luggage, accompanied them throughout the arrival process, provided essential humanitarian assistance, and helped meet their immediate needs before they were accommodated in communities across the region.

Since the beginning of the year, the Rivne region has received 253 evacuees from the Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support people who have been forced to flee their homes because of the war, helping them take the first steps towards rebuilding their lives in safer regions of Ukraine.
