The Ukrainian Red Cross took part in the annual Superhumans Reunion event in Odesa, bringing together veterans, Superhumans Center graduates and their families
The event provided a space for people who have undergone a challenging journey of medical treatment, prosthetic care and rehabilitation, and who continue to rebuild their lives, discover new purpose and move forward.
The event in Odesa also marked the opening of the third Superhumans Center in Ukraine — a modern facility providing prosthetic care, physical rehabilitation, psychological support and social reintegration services for people affected by the war.
Recovery from severe injuries is about more than medical care. It is also about support, acceptance, the opportunity to return to an active life and the reassurance that they are not alone on their recovery journey.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to strengthen rehabilitation services across Ukraine, including through its mobile rehabilitation units, which help people regain independence and improve their ability to carry out everyday activities.
We thank Superhumans Center for its vital work and for the opportunity to be part of this event. Together, we continue to support people on their journey to recovery.
Special thanks to the Swedish Red Cross for supporting such important events for veterans and their families.
