The Ukrainian Red Cross provided assistance at the scene of a major road traffic collision in the Mykolaiv region

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, a lorry and a minibus collided today on the Mykolaiv–Odesa motorway. Twelve people are reported to have been killed and a further six injured.

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Mykolaiv region worked at the scene of the incident. Volunteers supported the rescue operation, providing first aid to four injured people. Volunteer crews also transported two more injured people to medical facilities for hospitalisation and further medical treatment.
