Ukrainian Red Cross teams are responding at sites affected by another Russian attack
Today, volunteers from the emergency response teams of the Kyiv region and the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross, working alongside emergency services, assisted in rescuing people from under the rubble, providing first aid and psychological first aid, transporting injured people to emergency medical services vehicles, and supporting the evacuation of people with reduced mobility.
In total, 35 affected people have already received assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams.
An assistance point for affected people has been set up at the site. A food truck is operating alongside a tent run by the Kyiv city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
In addition, the Ukrainian Red Cross has begun assessing the humanitarian needs of affected people to determine further forms of assistance.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the number of people killed in Kyiv as a result of the large-scale Russian attack has risen to 18. A further 85 people have been injured, including two children.
