The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of the attack in Cherkasy

Overnight, the Cherkasy region came under another attack. In Cherkasy, a drone strike caused a fire in a multi-storey residential building. From the first hours after the attack, the emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Cherkasy region has been working at the scene together with emergency services.

Volunteers provided first aid and psychological first aid to affected people, and also assisted with transporting the injured to medical facilities.
An assistance point of the Ukrainian Red Cross was set up at the site, where residents and emergency responders can receive hot drinks, charge their mobile phones, and receive necessary support.

The team continues supporting people whose homes were damaged in the attack, including by providing materials for temporary repairs and essential relief items.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 11 people, including 2 children, were injured in the Russian attack on Cherkasy. Fires broke out in a nine-storey residential building.
