Seventeen People Evacuated from Border Areas of Kharkiv Region

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region participated in evacuating people from border villages in the Zolochiv and Velykyi Burluk areas, which are close to the frontline.

Through joint efforts, 17 people were evacuated, including two children aged 5 and 16.

More than 100 people were involved in the evacuation mission, including representatives of local communities, the National Police of Ukraine, emergency medical services, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and humanitarian and partner organisations.

The evacuees were received at a transit centre in Kharkiv, where they were provided with registration, temporary accommodation, humanitarian assistance, and further support.

The evacuation was carried out with the support of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Ukraine), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Coordination Humanitarian Centre NGO.

We are there where help is needed most.
